Booking depends on various issues such as: Size of band, Venue & Travel.

Typical 2-piece band:
small venues, restaurants, coffee houses, generally acoustic performances w/ out drums

Typical 3-piece band:
any sized venues, guitar, bass, drums

Typical Full-piece band: (4 or more pieces)
any sized venue large enough to hold band; guitar/s, bass, keyboard, drums; could also feature: background vocalists.
